WALLGRIN is the experimental pop project of Vancouver-based composer, improviser, singer and violinist Tegan Wahlgren. Drawing from a range of musical influences - including a backdrop of fiddles and choral singing - WALLGRIN's sound moves between lush string orchestration, beat-driven pop and artful vocal arrangements.
Her spirited and raw live performances have led to her appearing at various festivals alongside female artists from the scene.
Wallgrin's debut album Bird/Alien was released in 2018 on Heavy Lark Records.
"Silver Trail" is the second single from WALLGRIN's alt-pop album "Yet Again the Wheel Turns", which will be released in summer 2022. The single nests the state of exhaustion that has become all too familiar to most in recent years - the unrelenting weariness accompanied by constant worry about oneself and the state of the world in general.
The repeated mantra "I don't wanna deal with that" speaks to the human instinct to ignore, switch off and turn away from the things that bother you.
