It is said that what makes a good pop song is that it pulls you out of the earthly vale of tears for 2 minutes and 30 seconds. That's what happened to Andrew. On the day before his 30th birthday, he's standing at the traffic light, brooding over the mighty new life number - when the radio plays the old smasher "Dammit" by Blink 182. Heard a thousand times, the lines of text suddenly pierce through the murky fog of this moderate life crisis that clouds our hero: "But everybody's gone and I've been here for too long, to face this on my own - well, I guess: this is growing up".

And the frightt and thinks to himself: "Hey, that's exactly how I feel about life right now!". Barely home, Andreas Leopold Jäger (like – fun fact – every birthday since he turned 16) writes the anti-birthday song “Thirty” in one go: one of eleven hits on the new Me&Reas album “Bittersweet”.

It wasn't planned that this topic would run like a red thread through the cursed third album of the Nuremberg indie-folk-pop figurehead Me&Reas. But as it goes in life: make a plan in life, and God laughs. "Thirty", "Confessions", "All Your Love" or the old fan fave "The Journey", which the band has re-recorded - in fact, the majority of the songs on "Bittersweet" are about growing up, about quarreling with the Adolescence and in general about this ridiculous event of aging that one repeatedly tries desperately to grasp.
